Tim Burrows

Tim qualified in 1988 and has practised Criminal law in Gloucester since 1994.

He is currently Chair of the Gloucester Local Duty Solicitor Scheme and served on the Regional Duty Solicitor Committee for a number of years.

He is a member of the Police and Court Duty Solicitors Schemes for Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud and represents clients at the Gloucester, Cheltenham, and Stroud Magistrates’ Courts on a daily basis.

Tim  defends clients in  motoring cases and has considerable experience in all areas of Road Traffic law.

Tim has a particular interest in defending cases of alleged benefit fraud brought by the Department for Work and Pensions or Local Authorities.

Tim holds the SRA Higher Rights (Criminal Advocacy) Qualification which enables him to appear in all Criminal Courts including the Crown Court and the Court of Appeal. In appropriate cases Tim can instruct a barrister or QC to work alongside him to ensure the best possible representation.
